Naturally free of harmful substances: the new Hilja beds have been successfully tested
The Fresenius Institute put the Hilja bed mattresses through their paces. The result: The beds exceed the requirements of the test facility. For this, the Finnish box spring bed manufacturer receives the certificate „tested for harmful substances“ from SGS TÜV Saar.
Hilja beds represent the idea of using only natural components. „At FENNOBED, we generally attach great importance to natural materials that are uncontaminated. In the development of the Hilja beds, we wanted to perfect this claim. Of course, one wishes that the absolute harmlessness is also certified in black and white,“ explains Andreas Lehnhoff, founder and managing director of FENNOBED. This confirmation can only be obtained through independent testing. Such a one accomplished the renowned SGS Institut Fresenius now. The mattresses of the Hilja beds were tested for a multiplicity of pollutants. For each pollutant, the institute sets a permissible limit below which impairment can be practically ruled out. With these criteria the mattresses from the house FENNOBED were tested extensively. The vast majority of substances were not detectable at all, and in the few remaining cases the measured values were only a fraction of the permitted limits. Thus the mattresses may carry the quality seal „pollutant-examined“ of the SGS TÜV Saar. „The result is great. What we ourselves had been firmly convinced of for a long time now also has official letter and seal. Our Hilja beds can justifiably be considered a genuine natural product!“, says Elli Lehnhoff, founder and designer of FENNOBED.
